In 2017, we visited Sicily for the first time and were immediately enchanted by this island with its beauty and diversity! The water, the mountains, the culinary delights, and the warmth of the people. Since 2018, we have owned Casa Claudia and love it as a family home. We knew that we would still take vacations elsewhere sometimes, but ever since then, it has always been Sicily!
We would like to keep the rental process small and personal.
We do not offer direct booking without prior contact, but we assure you that we will answer every inquiry regarding available times or further island or vacation information promptly and completely without obligation.

Our Casa Claudia is a place of relaxation amidst the nature of the „Parco delle Madonie“ National Park. A quiet, large property with spectacular sea views invites you to linger and relax.
The house is located about 1 km above the authentic village of Sant’Ambrogio, 1.2 km from the beach, and 6 km from Cefalù. Palermo-Punta Raisi Airport „Falcone e Borsellino“ is served by regular flights from Cologne-Bonn Airport. Palermo and Catania can be reached from Hanover, and Trapani can also be flown to from Düsseldorf-Weeze.
Sant'Ambrogio
Casa Claudia is the ideal starting point for exploring the area. Shopping, strolling, eating well, and taking a refreshing swim in between? All of this is possible in the beautiful old town of Cefalù. The old streets in the picturesque historic center invite you to linger and stroll around. Alpine hiking up to nearly 2,000 meters is just as possible as lying lazily on the beach. Gorgo Lungo, about 16 km from the house, is suitable for beach walkers. The bay of Sant’Ambrogio is ideal for swimming, as the current does not pull swimmers out to sea. After a day at the beach, enjoy an aperitivo at the lido and then visit one of the three restaurants in Sant’Ambrogio.
Osteria Bacchus, along with the neighboring bar, shares a terrace with a great panoramic view of the Rocca of Cefalù. Wherever you are, take time for the sunset! If you should ever want to experience more culture, Palermo is a great option. Palermo is easily reachable by train from Cefalù. Day trips to the Aeolian Islands, Mount Etna, the archaeological sites of Segesta, the Zingaro and Nebrodi national parks are recommended. Many small mountain villages in the „Parco delle Madonie“ are authentic and blend gently into the mountains. Information material for extended hikes, the „Carta dei sentieri del paesaggio“, is available at the park administration office in Cefalù. A car is necessary!

In Casa Claudia, large windows provide brightness and offer views of the sea from the kitchen and the living room. The eat-in kitchen is ideal for cooking together and, when it rains, for shared meals. There are two bathrooms in the house, each with a shower. A washing machine is also available. From the kitchen, you can access the large, sun-shaded terrace, where you can watch the magnificent sunsets over the rock of Cefalù in spring and early summer. The house accommodates 4 people. An outdoor kitchen is available for sociable outdoor cooking evenings. An outdoor shower provides refreshment!
Directions
From Palermo „Falcone e Borsellino“ Airport onto the A19 towards Messina. Exit at Cefalù. Continue on the SS 113 towards Messina. Follow the sign for Sant'Ambrogio. Turn right at the „Via Vallone di Marzo“ sign. After about 300 m, turn diagonally left into „Via degli Arcieri“. It is a steep, narrow road. The house is located after about 300 m on the left-hand side. There is a sign with Casa Claudia on the fence.

Both the arrival and departure days are changeover days. This means that on the day of arrival, the previous guest departs, and on the day of departure, the next guest arrives.
